Finally something that stays put
We drive a lot and my shepherd used to get wound up the moment the road noise picked up. Set the strap once and it has not needed adjusting since. The mesh means he is not panting under it either.
Took a few days, then he forgot it was on
Worth following the advice about going slowly. Short sessions with treats for about a week, and now he walks straight into it. The padding around the ears does not press down at all.
Great build, sizing runs snug
Quality is genuinely better than I expected for the price, and the stitching and piping are clean. I would size up if your dog is between sizes, as the medium was tighter than I thought on a broad head.
Bought it for fireworks season
Not a magic fix and I did not expect one, but paired with a quiet room it clearly took the edge off. Easy to get on and off quickly, which matters when she is already unsettled.
Holds up to regular washing
Hand washed it several times now and the padding has kept its shape, with no fraying on the reflective trim. The buckle still clicks properly, which is usually the first thing to go.

What is the hood made of?
The shell is a breathable honeycomb mesh with padded ring-shaped ear cups and a smooth satin-finish lining. Reflective piping runs along the panel seams, and the strap closes with a side-release buckle.
How does the ear protection work?

How do I choose the right size?
Zantaf comes in three sizes: S for small breeds, M for medium breeds, and L for large breeds. Measure around the widest part of your dog's head, just above the ears, and if your dog falls between two sizes we recommend going up. Still unsure? How do I adjust the fit?
Slide the webbing strap through the adjuster until the hood sits comfortably without pressure, then close the side-release buckle. Once set, you can usually clip it on and off without readjusting.
Will my dog tolerate wearing it?
Introduce it gradually. Let your dog sniff and wear the hood for short, calm, rewarded sessions at home before using it somewhere busy. Never leave a dog unattended while wearing it, and stop use if your dog shows distress.
How do I clean it?
Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and air dry away from direct heat. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, bleach, or iron, because heat can damage the padding and the reflective piping.
How do I use the carry pouch?
Fold the hood loosely, slide it into the pouch, and pull the drawstring closed. Let the hood dry fully before storing it to keep the lining and padding fresh.
